Ph.D student in Biometeorology
We are seeking applications for a Ph.D and M.Sc student starting from 2024-2025 academic year . Selected student will focus on exploring the impacts of climate change, extreme weather events and management activities on carbon and water exchanges in forests and agricultural crops in the Great Lakes region. This research will be conducted at at the Turkey Point Environmental Observatory (TPEO) (http://www.southernforestswaterfuture.ca/) which includes an age-sequence (18-, 45- and 80-year old) of temperate forests, a 90-year old deciduous forest and an agricultural crop sites near Lake Erie in Southern Ontario, Canada. TPEO is part of Global Water Futures Observatory Program, Ameriflux, global Fluxnet and the Global Center for Climate Change and Transboundary Waters and students will have opportunities to works with partner organizations.
